She's been proclaimed by various religions (including the Manekhtite cult) as a warrior-goddess and supreme battle strategist. Arrogant, wilful and a strong feminist, Allianah's respect is difficult to gain and easy to lose. Despite having no ambitions to lead the originals, she has an inflexible, authoritarian personality and abhors even the smallest rule-breaking. In her capacity as the Guardian of the Council of Originals, anyone wishing to harm the council must first get through her. She is tall, dark-skinned and has a rigid posture, a face which is more regal than beautiful and a permanently haughty expression. As is the custom in most eastern cultures, her hair is long but usually tied back in a practical way. Most of the time she wears Muslim dress to blend in with her surroundings, but she prefers her long, white robes for casual events. Allianah is the deity of Nubia (modern-day Sudan) but occupies Egypt the majority of the time in order to carry out her duties as the Guardian. Her cult following is very small, but some believe that the name of the Muslim god 'Allah' is derived from her name. Allianah is also the leader of the organisation 'the Alliance'. The Alliance is the council's personal espionage and army unit, consisting of the best agents and warriors from around the world. They are a small, elite force, and their main purpose is to keep the peace. Allianah despises Lorraine, whom she views as an airhead; and strongly dislikes Aura, whom she views as a criminal. She liked many of Gwythr's policies but hated his lack of organisation, and she is gradually gaining respect for Tsi. She has moderate respect for Rhaegar and Zed but considers Khasekhemwy beneath her. She has a special hatred reserved for Mallos, whom she blocks and challenges at every possible turn. « back |
