He's not very indulgent of ordinary fairies' requests, but is always prepared to listen to them and is never unkind. Patient, fair and possessing the rare gift of being able to give a balanced judgement free of bias, Zed's opinion is widely respected amongst the originals. He is generally very quiet and contemplative, and never ventures to offer his thoughts without first considering them very carefully. Because of this, he makes an extremely successful Intergalactic Ambassador of the Council of Originals, and is in charge of the Intergalactic branch of the diplomatic triad. He also shoulders great responsibility as Acting High Judge of the Star Chamber. His friends are well acquainted with his fine sense of humour and booming laugh. One of Zed's epithets is 'the Mountain', and not without good reason! He's huge - not fat, just big all round - dark-skinned and has dark, twinkling eyes. He usually wears loose, fairly modern clothes and open-topped sandals. He has a small to moderate sized cult which spans across most of south America. Zed's best friend is Tsi, a deity with whom he is particularly close. He is widely respected by the other originals and gets along with most of them to a reasonable degree. He's one of the few who is particularly tolerant of Charlton, and gets along with him fairly well. « back
