« back![]() Range of cult worship. Until very recently, Khasekhemwy was the deity of Egypt. Although he transferred to Palestine in the past century, he still wears gallabeeyah robe typical of Egyptian men and his Arabic is notably Egyptian accented. Quiet, unsociable and bookish, he generally prefers to withdraw from the world and this desire along with his efficiency has labelled him a workaholic. As the Scribe of the Council of Originals and the leader of the Divine Scribes organisation, he has an extremely demanding and undesirable job. The general administration of the council, including manning the archives, sending messages and filing reports, all falls to him and his well-trained group of staff. Khasekhemwy spends most of his days locked away in his office, reading the hundreds of dossiers which fall onto his desk daily and ensuring that the correct information reaches the right authorities. He is quite insecure, lacks confidence (particularly in his social skills and opinions), rarely speaks unless spoken to and tries to avoid interaction with other people as much as possible. He's very loyal to the council and does an outstanding work for it which is rarely if ever acknowledged or appreciated. Small, slim and wiry, Khasekhemwy constantly looks as if he's about to break at the slightest touch. He has caramel-brown skin, brown eyes framed with long lashes, a pointed chin and turban which he always wears. Possibly because he's always working or possibly because he's a closet Muslim, his cult is absolutely minute and the majority of it is focused in Egypt. Most of the time, Khasekhemwy is beneath the other originals' radar - which is how he likes it. It's not a case of them actively ignore him; he's simply too quiet to be noticed. He has a fairly good relationship with Aura, whom he feels a great affinity for, but does not venture to offer an opinion on any of the other deities. The other originals all know or suspect that he's secretly a Muslim, but they don't mind as long a she isn't open about it and only practices his beliefs in private. « back |
