« back![]() Range of cult worship. Rhaegar has quite a temper; approach with caution! He is the (rather grumpy) deity of Scandinavia and sealed himself inside a time-loop of the Viking age for almost two centuries. This was, and is, his favourite period of history, and the only place where he has managed to find anyone he likes. Rhaegar is also generally credited as the origin of the Viking belief system, most closely associating himself with the great wolf Fenrir. The Rhaegaran cult still identify strongly with these tales to the present day, believing that within the stories they will find some great hidden truth or prophecy. Some even believe, given the nature of Fenrir's role in Ragnarok, that Rhaegar will play some great role in the destruction of the world. Rhaegar has looked the same for as long as anyone can remember. He is very tall, and athletically built. Before his retreat to his time loop he had a reputation for never being seen with his long blonde hair dirty or untidy. Gar's eyes are dark purple and heavily lidded, his cheekbones high and sharp. He appears to be in his mid-to-late twenties and his distinctive helm, bronze armour and axe are renowned. Rhaegar was originally a guardian of the council, but resigned from his post in the 7th century. From then on he only attended council meetings under protest, and sometimes did not even bother to show up at all, until his final disappearance in 1867. In the comfort of his time-loop, Gar breaks a number of the council's laws of self-governance, most specifically their "no-kill" policy. Despite this, since his departure, he has largely been left alone by his fellow deities and has largely ignored any written communication they have sent him. Gar does not have a particularly good relationship with any of the originals. He holds a particular hatred for Aura, and finds Mallos exceptionally irritating. Out of the three chairs of the council, Gwythr was Rhaegar's favourite as he made little to no comment about Gar's chosen lifestyle. He has a degree of respect for Aliannah, due mostly to her fighting skills. He has little time for diplomats. Rhaegar also nurses a particular distrust and hatred for creatures of ancient magic. « back |
