Each parent should have a four-letter code to denote their hair colour, which can be divided into two Bs (for brown/blonde) and two Rs (for red). First, look only at the two B codes in each of the parents and use the table below to find the B codes for the child. Then do the same for your R codes.
If either of the parents has an unnatural hair colour and you didn't already roll to inherit this under 'traits', simply copy the genetic code of the parent with the natural hair colour.

FitzPatrick (1975) established six skin colours with decreasing lightness. This is the scale we typically use on Shaman. Simply find a mid-point between the parents' skin tones.
Type I: Very light, "Celtic" type skin. Often burns, occasionally tans.
Type II: Light or light-skinned European. Usually burns, sometimes tans.
Type III: Light intermediate or dark-skinned European. Rarely burns, often tans.
Type IV: Dark intermediate, also "Mediterranean" or "olive skin". Rarely burns, often tans.
Type V: Dark or "brown" type. Naturally brown, sometimes darkens.
Type VI: Very dark or "black" type.
