Haven Generators
Haven Generators
Welcome to the Haven baby stat generators, version 5.0. The aim behind these powerful generators is to produce a unique child each time, just like in real life.
Stages of giving stats
There are three stages to giving stats.
- Conception stage: this is when the player posts for stats on the support board. Some items can only be used at the conception stage.
- Check stage: this is when the support team member posts the initial set of stats on the support board. Players can check the stats and apply some other items, or pay to make changes.
- Finalised stage: when the player has confirmed that they are happy with the stats in the check stage, the new baby will be added to the database by a member of the support team.

Optional extras
Only include these if the player requests them. None of these go into the database; players can pick and choose what they like from here to proceed with. These factors are more complex than the ones above, so require you to write something using the information below to guide you.

Extroversion-introversion:
Type A/B:
Based on Howard Gardner's 9 types of intelligence:
- Spatial intelligence: visualising the world in 3D
- Naturalist intelligence: understanding living things and reading nature
- Musical intelligence: discerning sounds, their pitch, tone, rhythm and timbre
- Logical-mathematical intelligence: quantifying things, making hypotheses and proving them
- Existential intelligence: tackling the questions of why we live, and why we die
- Interpersonal intelligence: sensing people's feelings and motives
- Bodily-kinesthetic intelligence: coordinating your mind with your body
- Linguistic intelligence: finding the right words to express what you mean
- Intra-personal intelligence: understanding yourself, what you feel, and what you want

Typical symptoms of the first trimester:
- Nausea and vomiting.
- Loss of sexual drive.
- Food aversion and cravings.
- Heartburn and indigestion.
- Tender and swollen breats.
- Change in complexion.
- Frequent urge to urinate.
- Constipation.
- Dizziness, headaches and fatigue.
Typical symptoms of the second trimester:
- A cute little bump starts to develop.
- Return of the sexual drive. Huzzah.
- Initial symptoms like nausea and fatigue will abate.
- The baby is beginning to grow rapidly. This is the time it will probably be the most active and may move around a lot in the womb.
- Body aches begin to kick in here, including back, groin, belly and thigh aches.
- Ankles, fingers and face may swell.
- Itching in the abdomen, palms of the hands and soles of the feet.
- Numb or tingling hands.
- Patches of darker skin, usually over the cheeks, forehead, nose, or upper lip. Patches often match on both sides of the face.
Typical symptoms of the third trimester:
- That cute little bump will turn into quite a large lump.
- Breathing may be more difficult; your character may feel out of breath more easily when exercising.
- More frequent urges to urinate.
- Trouble sleeping (many women suffer from sleep deprivation before their baby is born).
- The baby "drops", or moves lower in the abdomen, towards the end of the third trimester.
- Contractions, which can be a sign of real or false labour. Many women on their first pregnancies have false labour/childbirth scares.
Other items/powers
Most powers/items which affect the generators are self-explanatory. Here is some guidance on some of the ones which are not.
This is a flexible item which guarantees some uniqueness about the baby it is used on. One Coupon is required per baby, so if a player uses a Double Birth item (or randomly gets twins), they will need to use two Baby Coupons for both children to get the unique alteration. Otherwise, where there is a multiple birth and only one Coupon used, only one of the babies will receive the unique alteration.
The most important thing with using this item is to select a result which the player will enjoy playing with. Coupon results are generally "themed", so try to go with a theme which will get the player excited.
Suggestions for Baby Coupon alterations (these can be combined):
- A larger number of powers or traits is given, usually all themed around a central idea.
- A new, unique, never-before-seen power or trait is given.
- A more expensive power or trait is given, such as Hypnosis or Shapeshifting (mythical animal).
- Unique appearance alterations in the form of unnatural hair/skin/eyes.
- Born with an unusual, unique mythical/extinct familiar.
- Born with an unusual, unique item or piece of equipment.
- Born with a deity blessing.
Works similarly to the Orphan Child item. Use two "unknown" parents (provided at the top of this page) to produce a child. The child's heritage goes into the database as "Unknown". As with Orphan Child, you will need to generate an optional orphan story (i.e. how it ended up without its parents) which players can choose to ignore. For Born Lucky, give the child a lucky-themed orphan story. An example might be the story of Moses being placed in a basket on the Nile; he dodges crocodiles, currents, and other dangers and is eventually found and taken in by the royal family.
All Born Lucky children automatically have the Luck Manipulation power. As well as this, give them a couple of powers, traits, appearance edits, or a familiar etc which is luck-themed. You will need to look up what is considered ‘lucky’ in different cultures for ideas. Ideas could include rainbow, four-leaf clover, the number seven, a rabbit’s foot, etc. Don’t give as many goodies as you would with Baby Coupon or Illuminati Abduction, just a couple of fun things for the player to enjoy.
Generate a random familiar for the child using the randomisers below. You can either use the random animal given, or look up animals within specified category/biome in the
Animal Database.
Random animal:
Random animal category:
Random biome:
Generate a random mythical familiar for the child using the randomiser below.
Random mythical animal:
Run the generators twice, providing players with ‘Option A’ and ‘Option B’. Players choose which option they prefer to go with, or they can pay 500$ to keep both options.
Offspring will be ‘gene-spliced’ with another organic being. This could be a plant, animal, Shamanimal, mythical animal, extinct animal, etc. Where there are triplets, DZ twins or higher multiples, use different organic beings for each, e.g. a seahorse for one and a cat for another. Where there are MZ twins, the organic being should be the same as the twins will be identical.
When choosing the organic being to be the other parent, the statter chooses rather than the player. You can either randomise using the generators below, or if you have an idea for something you think the player would like, you can go with that.
Organic being:
Theme the baby around the organic being which forms the other parent. This could include traits, powers, a unique appearance, etc. As with the Baby Coupon, there is flexibility around how much you "spend" creating this unique child, as long a you don’t go overboard.
Step 1: Characters can only use this item if one of the parents has shapeshifting or animal mimicry. Use the animal connected to their shapeshifting/mimicry as your base. If there are multiple options (e.g. a parent can shapeshift into more than one animal, or both parents can shift into different animals) then roll a dice to determine which animal to use as your base.
Step 2: Once you have your animal base, research how many babies that animal would realistically have in a litter. For example, wolves will usually have 4-6 pups in a litter. Use the dice to determine how many babies will be in the character's litter.
Step 3: All you need to do is post the number of offspring in the litter and the sex of each baby. Don't add anything to the database. Using wolves as an example, you could lay it out thus:
5 pups total in litter, 2 female and 3 male.
Step 4: The player then replies with whether they would like to "upgrade" any of the offspring from animal babies into shapeshifting fairies. If they chose none, you don't need to do anything else. For the ones they choose to upgrade, charge them 1,000$ per baby (e.g. if they want to upgrade 3 of the 5 wolf pups, it will cost them 3,000$) and then run the generators to provide the baby statistics as normal. All upgraded babies will automatically get the ability to shapeshift into their base animal.
Use two "unknown" parents (provided at the top of this page) to produce a child. The child's heritage goes into the database as "Unknown".
You should also provide an optional orphan story for the child; i.e., how it ended up without its parents. Players can ignore this if they want. Some ideas are:
- Death of parents through natural disaster, such as fire, earthquake, volcanic eruption, adverse weather conditions, etc.
- Death of parents through natural causes or accidents, such as illness, sinking ship, manslaughter, etc.
- Death of parents through murder or assassination.
- Disappearance of parents through mysterious or magical means, such as curses, spirits, voodoo, etc.
- Disappearance of parents through personal choices, such as not returning from a quest, job, mission, etc.
- Removal of child from parents due to neglect, abuse, kidnapping, etc.
Power descriptor: The ability to absorb a male character permanently and then self-reproduce with that character without the need for intercourse or a Virgin Pregnancy item. In male characters, this also removes the need for an Unnatural Pregnancy item. A divine character is needed to "unabsorb" any absorbed characters and pull them back out.
The male character must have been absorbed by the character with Parabiosic Reproduction for this power to activate.
If this power is being used, Unnatural Pregnancy items are not needed where they might previously have been. A male character with Parabiosic Reproduction who has absorbed another male character can reproduce with them freely.
This one's easy! You're just making a mini-clone of the character. Exactly the same genetics.
